My name is Jessica and I’m a saleswoman.
The fact that I am typing these words is something of a miracle and a testament to how God can work out his purpose in our lives. Can you relate at all? Do you love selling but can’t seem to believe it is something you do? Does it bring you soaring joy and crushing discomfort and doubt? Does it test you daily?
When I first started on my journey in sales, it was fall of 2010 and I was interviewing for a position in the wealth management division of a community bank. During this interview, I specifically told my future boss – “I heard that people in your division work on commission, so if you are looking for a salesperson, you’ve got the wrong girl.” She laughed and ultimately offered me a job as an administrator to a sales team . Little did I know then, by taking this “non-sales job”, God had started me on my path to embracing my destiny through sales.
Fast forward about a decade and I find myself compelled to write a blog about my journey to becoming a saleswomen, dying daily to self and growing closer to Christ in the process.
Welcome and I hope you find some inspiration in my experiences.
